Garedausterlitz

Touring internationally since 2008, Play Me, I’m Yours is artwork by British artist Luke Jerram. It has reached over two million people worldwide – more than 700 pianos have already been installed in 38 cities across the globe, from Los Angeles to Paris, bearing the simple instruction ‘Play Me, I’m Yours’.

Circle Notre Dame, Paris accordian, Paris music, paris travel

Circle Notre Dame and you’re bound to run into one of these merrymakers. Their accordians have seen better days and so have their repetoires but the nostalgic crowds don’t seem to mind. It even puts a little air in the steps of the passerby, that je ne sais quoi soundtrack of Paris. Just don’t request “La Vie En Rose”, okay?

Worth the 9 euro entrance fee. A rainy haily All Saints’ Day in the gilded and marbled stairways and halls. Costumes, set designs from days gone by, red velvet chairs, cherubs, a gallery of paintings of ballerinas, singers and proud “Carmen” by Durst, opulence times ten. The Marc Chagall ceiling, the cherry on top. Butter my toast.
