Camille Claudel, step aside. Here comes Felice de Fauvau (1806-1880) being exhibited from now until September 15 at the Musée d’Orsay. Not many people have seen her work or know about her. This sculptor with her own personal and original style deserves recognition. Statues and statuettes, monuments, reliefs, busts of various materials (plaster, marble, bronze), decorative art objects (jewelry, weapons, silverware, etc. ) show the variety and the richness of her art.

Special exhibits at this museum are always worth the wait. Deep, intriguing, a rare display of her work.
