This weekend France celebrated the Journees Europeennes Du Patrimone. Open were many buildings not often offering access to tourists. I spent hours at Hotel de Ville and Palais du Luxembourg. Both were immense historic edifices clogged with patriots celebrating their heritage. The Elysees Palace was the most popular on the free ticket, requiring a six hour wait in line. I ended my day in a vacant chair with a full on view of flowers, grass and puffy clouds.
