Printemps des Rues – Street Art Festival

May 16 and 17, 2015

This annual festival celebrates the art of street performance alongside the Canal Saint Martin and throughout the 10th arrondissement – Hospital St. Louis, Square St. Lazare, Francoise Sagan Library. EUROPEAN NIGHT OF MUSEUMS

SATURDAY, MAY 16TH, 2015 / FREE ADMISSION

Cinema, theater, visual arts, literature, art demonstrations come together in this event sponsored by the City of Paris. Museums of science and technology, anthropology, civil and military history, and rural and industrial heritage will be opening their doors. It all happens at night, and it’s free.

At the Carnavalet Museum you can roam the gardens and take advantage of a concert  performed by pupils of the Academy of the Center of Paris. You will even meet emperor Napoleon and his court.  At Musée Cognacq-Jay texts of Rousseau, Voltaire, Diderot will be read and put to music.

At the Museum of General Leclerc de Hauteclocque – Jean Moulin museum discover the art of line-engraving, the art of the postage stamp. Elsa Catelin and Pierre Bara will conduct short demonstrations at no charge.

At the Petit-Palais, museum of the fine arts, exhibits will include “The Slums of the Baroque” and “Carmen and Mélisande”. Actors will make paintings come alive with comedic touches.

At Museum of Modern Art there will be an open-air film show featuring “The Beautiful of Day of Luis Buñuel”, and “The Passion According to Carol Rama”.
